Concept and mechanism
Human review works only when the reviewer has information, time, and authority to intervene. A confirmation button combined with incentives to accept everything can make review merely ceremonial. Explaining that text was AI-generated is useful but does not replace a path to resolve an incorrect response. Citations allow consulting a source; that source may not support the specific claim. Checking content before sending is particularly important when communications guide decisions. Current disclosure, fallback, review, and traceability patterns are used here as supplementary learning. They are not presented as universal Spring 24 features or guarantees that a vendor eliminates every risk.
Guided application
Before a pilot with operational data, delimit purpose, necessary information, authorized access, and approved handling. Technical permission to read an archive does not approve every new use. A prompt instruction to hide information is not an authorization boundary. If internal information appears in an external response, contain the affected flow, preserve authorized evidence, and investigate sources and permissions. Define a safe manual path while validating the correction. After service introduction, monitor changes in languages, channels, and request types. Earlier approval may no longer represent current conditions. Involving affected users and allowing corrections helps identify failures that a global metric misses.
Example: a draft cites an internal document in a customer reply. Suspending affected sending and reviewing access is more useful than merely changing an instruction sentence.
Common pitfalls
Confusing disclosure with control; confidence with truth; a link with proof; initial approval with permanent assessment.
