GitHub Foundations: collaboration and controlled delivery
Seven lessons, 35 questions, and five cases on GitHub, review, automation, Projects, permissions, and collaboration between development and APS.
Objectives and progression
Initial course with seven lessons and 40 original decisions, including five fictional APS and technical-management cases. Internal assessment of 26 decisions in 55 minutes. Covers seven domains at introductory depth; advanced administration, policy configuration, metrics, agents, and executable labs need deeper study. GH-900: January 2026 objectives in the guide updated 2026-02-19. The official page states 100 minutes and passing at 700 on a 1000-point scale, without equivalence to 70%. Question count unconfirmed. GitHub Foundations does not require renewal.
Audience: Technical managers, APS, developers, and contributors using GitHub to propose, review, and track work.
Prerequisites: Basic file handling, editing, and team collaboration. Initial Git experience helps, but no prior certification is assumed.
