Concept and mechanism
An operational product continues to generate needs after project completion. Incidents, costs, usage, and feedback can expose opportunities or weaknesses. Define how those signals reach an owned backlog, how they are prioritized, and what capacity can address them. An automated pipeline accelerates execution but does not assign funding or decide value. The relationship between development and operations needs delivery and recovery criteria, observability, and outcome accountability. In the banking context used in these exercises, transition includes those responding at night and on weekends, as well as those who presented the initial demonstration.
Guided application
AI can help compare reports, summarize information, and prepare questions. Its usefulness depends on checking sources, versions, and states. A summary mixing old cost with a new date can sound coherent while supporting a wrong decision. Request a traceable comparison, check discrepancies, and retain validation with data owners. Do not turn a planned action into a completed one merely because generated text presents it that way. Use authorized tools and information permitted in context. If automated comparison is unreliable, doing it manually is a valid alternative. Success means improving decision quality while retaining clarity about who decided and the supporting evidence.
Report A contains revised cost; B shows a still-planned test. A summary combining old cost and completed testing needs correction before the board.
Common pitfalls
Automation as authority; fluency as proof; closed project as ownerless product; silent version mixing.
