AI with context and oversight

Use AI proposals and summaries while retaining permitted data, evidence, and authority.

Concept and mechanism

A generative tool can produce convincing text containing an invented decision or omitting an important condition. Treat output as a proposal to review. To prepare an agenda, provide purpose, participant roles, duration, constraints, and expected format using only permitted data. Then check whether the agenda creates room for the needed decision. A tool can suggest questions or organize themes without assuming the Scrum Master’s, PO’s, or technical owner’s responsibility. Also distinguish fluency from evidence. A summary turning “environment available if access is approved” into “environment available” changes interpretation of the plan even without grammatical errors.

Guided application

The exercises explicitly use fictional data policies. If an external tool permits only synthetic data, removing names does not authorize sending real identifiers. A prompt request not to retain data does not replace service conditions. Also evaluate recommendation indicators: ticket length may reflect writing style instead of value. If AI recommends removing a meeting, identify the coordination it provides and test an alternative preserving that function. Keep product decisions with responsible people. Compare summaries with authorized records and confirm commitments with participants before communicating them as facts.

IN PRACTICE

A summary may save writing time while increasing correction effort. Evaluate quality and total time, not generation speed alone.

Common pitfalls

Textual confidence as proof; assumed anonymization; style proxy as value; automatic decisions without authority.
