Concept and mechanism
The IP Iteration reserves space for innovation, learning, preparation, and a buffer against variability. Filling it with features in advance may remove those opportunities. At Inspect and Adapt, integrated results and measures help the ART reflect on PI experience and select improvements. This path practices analysis and decisions through original examples. The official syllabus also requires the specific six-step problem-solving workshop; the complete sequence was not accessible in the public article consulted. That coverage requires further study in authorized provider material and is not presented here as confirmed. The following exercises do not reproduce the licensed workshop.
Guided application
Start investigation with an observable problem: four of six requests waited more than three days for clarification. This is more useful than attributing poor collaboration to a team. Form hypotheses and seek samples supporting or challenging them. Choose measures aligned with the objective. If the goal is fewer lost hours, a category with four occurrences and 40 hours warrants different attention from one with 12 occurrences and 12 hours. Ranking proves neither cause nor future benefit. Define a bounded change, owner, observation criterion, and review. Include adverse effects in evaluation: less waiting with more authorization failures may require adjustment before expansion.
In the proposed experiment, observing lost time before and after supports learning; one improvement in the average does not prove causality.
Common pitfalls
Solution before problem; frequency as impact; assumed cause; actions without capacity; treating an unconsulted official sequence as mastered.
