Concept and mechanism
The CAD blueprint refers to Workflow and Flow Designer; inspected current documentation presents Workflow Studio. Keep that distinction while studying because the exam version is not the interface release name. Choose the trigger by business event and specify when it should run again. A work-note update should not create another approval when the intent is to approve one transition. Analyze conditions, repetition policy, and updates produced by the flow itself. Use a reusable contract for common steps instead of copying rules across applications. Define what happens when the approver does not respond, integration fails, and the record is no longer in the expected state. Automation needs an error exit and operational ownership.
Guided application
Outbound email combines condition, recipient, and content; confirming sending does not prove delivery or completion of work. Inbound flows with email triggers take priority over inbound email actions. Processed state indicates passage through processing even without a matching action. Inspect classification, watermark, conditions, and target record before reprocessing. A message meeting forward criteria is classified accordingly even when it contains a watermark that could suggest a reply. In a fictional closing process, preserve the email and identify which automation actually changed the exception. The design should prevent unauthorized changes and duplicate effects while retaining enough information for APS to explain a message’s path.
Processed email without a record change requires inspecting the action and conditions.
Common pitfalls
Triggering on every edit; Processed treated as business success; replaying without checking effects.
