ServiceNow CAD: develop and deliver applications
Eight lessons, 50 questions, and eight ServiceNow development cases: data models, scope, forms, security, automation, REST, Git, and delivery. Independent CAD preparation.
Objectives and progression
Independent Certified Application Developer preparation mapped to the six domains and weights of the January 2026 blueprint. Eight lessons and 58 original decisions connect data design, scope, modules, client/server logic, ACLs, Script Includes, properties, events, jobs, email, import, REST, source control, and delegated development. Fictional banking and APS cases cover attempt history, out-of-order callbacks, misplaced browser trust, cross-scope writes, processed messages without effects, text properties, timeout with uncertain results, and promotion dependencies. The internal assessment reuses 32 decisions in 60 minutes. Sources identify consulted releases without treating Brazil as the exam version. No real instance was configured, and the course does not guarantee passing or an official credential.
Audience: ServiceNow developers, administrators moving into development, APS teams, and technical owners of applications and integrations.
Prerequisites: Basic JavaScript, tables, roles, and ServiceNow administration. The provider recommends training and six months of application development; it permits exam registration at any time. CSA is a useful related course, not presented here as a mandatory official prerequisite.
