CKAD: Kubernetes applications in production
Prepare for CKAD through images, workloads, deployments, configuration, and production application scenarios.
Objectives and progression
Seven original lessons connect image building, workload selection, volumes, releases, observability, configuration, security, and networking. Includes 35 questions with per-option feedback and five fictional banking production cases. Content uses Kubernetes v1.35, the version stated by the Linux Foundation at consultation. The final assessment reuses 26 decisions. This is introductory knowledge preparation: it supplies no cluster and does not replace execution practice for the official performance-based exam.
Audience: Developers, DevOps practitioners, and production teams preparing for CKAD.
Prerequisites: Containers, Linux, basic networking, and YAML reading; execution practice in a separate lab.

What you will explore
0 / 7Reproducible images and finite work
Choose artifacts and controllers according to the work lifecycle.
Init containers, sharing, and persistence
Distinguish startup dependencies, temporary space, and durable data.
Deployments and recovery
Connect rollout strategy, traffic, and data compatibility.
Application observability and maintenance
Choose evidence according to failure phase and expected behavior.
Configuration, secrets, and identity
Coordinate configuration delivery with how the process consumes it.
Resources, security, and extensions
Distinguish admission, execution, and reconciliation constraints.
Services, DNS, and isolation
Follow the path from client to backend and its dependencies.
