WebSphere Administration
Six lessons, 30 questions, and six cases for WebSphere traditional ND administration: configuration, deployments, JDBC, JVM, TLS, and recovery.
Objectives and progression
A technical-skill course with fictional APS and project scenarios, explained decisions, and an internal assessment. Targets traditional ND 9.0.5, baseline 9.0.5.29. This is not an IBM certification. Thirteen IBM references have indexed primary text but unresolved direct access. No WebSphere lab executed.
Audience: APS L2/L3 teams, middleware administrators, and technical project managers.
Prerequisites: Linux, networking, HTTP, SQL, and Java application fundamentals.
300 estimated study minutes
- Connect cell, node, profile, and runtime before changing the environment.
- Diagnose the HTTP path and release dependencies.
- Distinguish binding, connection acquisition, and database execution.
- Interpret threads and memory without turning a symptom into a cause.
- Locate effective trust and apply privileges proportionate to the task.
- Prepare recoverable changes and deliver operational evidence.
Modules
- ND topology and effective configuration
- Deployment, routing, and state
