Google Associate Cloud Engineer: practical operations
Prepare for Google Associate Cloud Engineer through projects, compute, networking, recovery, observability, and pipeline identities.
Objectives and progression
Seven lessons, 35 questions, and five original cases with an internal 26-decision assessment. Introductory preparation based on the four domains in the PDF linked from the current certification page. The separate HTML guide presents an earlier five-domain structure; the discrepancy is documented. The inspected PDF does not state an edition or effective date, so no annual version is invented. Fictional banking scenarios connect content to APS, releases, and RUN handover. It does not yet exhaustively cover every syllabus service or include executable labs.
Audience: APS professionals, cloud administrators, and technical managers involved in implementation and support.
Prerequisites: Basic Linux, networking, container, and cloud knowledge. Google sets no formal exam prerequisites and recommends over six months of hands-on experience; this path does not replace it.

What you will explore
0 / 7Projects, context, quotas, and costs
Prepare an operable environment and check limits before committing to a release.
Compute, interruptions, and declarative changes
Choose runtime and capacity from application behavior.
Data, availability, and private networking
Distinguish storage semantics, regional protection, and network paths.
Operating releases, nodes, and recovery
Connect observed errors to the right stage and demonstrate recovery.
Observability, log delivery, and evidence
Verify signal production, routing, and interpretation.
IAM, inheritance, and privilege boundaries
Grant actions at a concrete scope and distinguish identity capabilities.
Federation, impersonation, and pipelines
Reduce persistent keys without broadening who can act in production.
