Objectives and progression

Independent ArchiMate 3 Foundation preparation, OGA-031, aligned to language 3.2 and the thirteen public factsheet areas. Eight lessons and 48 original decisions distinguish structure, behavior, information, relationships, motivation, strategy, layers, and migration. Fictional banking and APS cases address duplicated identity across views, separate files and events, capability versus project, international handover, service semantics, WebSphere and shared infrastructure, partial delivery, and validator limits. Optional examples use primary Archi 5.10.0 tool documentation; the tool is not an exam requirement. The internal assessment reuses 32 decisions in 60 minutes, including multiple response. It does not reproduce the official 40-question exam or award certification. Coverage maps to public areas without claiming full access to the authenticated standard or syllabus.

Audience: IT Project Managers, beginning architects, business analysts, and APS teams needing to interpret service and transformation models.

Prerequisites: Basic application, infrastructure, and business-process knowledge helps. The Foundation exam has no formal prerequisites. Installing Archi is not required to use this course.
