Six-area blueprint confirmed in the May2026 handbook: weights14/12/15/15/30/14%. Exam of120questions in210minutes. IIBA does not publish a passing percentage. Official exam in English and Japanese. May2026 identifies the handbook without inventing an effective date for a new version. Application requires approval and relevant experience; no eligible-hour claim is made for this course.

Objectives and progression

Eight lessons, 50 questions, and eight original cases explore the six CBAP knowledge areas. An internal 32-decision assessment in 50 minutes connects elicitation, traceability, strategy, design, and evaluation. Fictional banking and APS scenarios include cut-offs, reconciliation, APIs, migration, international support, and adoption. The course uses the May 2026 handbook, public IIBA competencies, and applied concepts with original examples. This is a first pass, with full practice forms still planned.

Audience: Business analysts, technical managers, product owners, and APS professionals working with requirements and change.

Prerequisites: Practical experience with requirements and processes. CBAP application requires 7,500 relevant hours within ten years, including at least 900 hours in four areas, 35 eligible professional development hours within four years, and two references. Confirm rules and application approval with IIBA before purchasing the exam. This course does not claim to satisfy eligible hours.
